Economic Illus\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/property-market5-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/property-market5-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Sure we\u2019re heading into the Winter of the cycle but just like in nature, Spring follows Winter.<\/p>\n<p>It has for tens of thousands of years and I\u2019m prepared to put my money on the fact that it will happen again this time<\/p>\n<p>I came across the following story from one of my early mentors, the late <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimrohn.com\/change-can-change-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Rohn<\/a> that puts things into perspective.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s definitely worth the short read\u2026<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s what Jim Rohn said&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"if-you-change-yourself-you-can-change-your-life\">If you change yourself, you can change your life<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Life is about constant, predictable patterns of change, and the only constant factor will be our feelings and attitudes toward life.<\/p>\n<p>We as human beings have the power of attitude and that attitude determines the choice, and choice determines results.<\/p>\n<p>All that we are and all that we can become has indeed been left to us to decide and interpret through our attitude and choices.<\/p>\n<p>Life is like the changing seasons\u2014you cannot change the seasons, but you can change yourself.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"so-the-first-major-lesson-in-life-to-learn-is-how-to-handle-the-winters\">So the first major lesson in life to learn is how to handle the winters<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>They come regularly, right after autumn.<\/p>\n<p>Some are long, some are short, some are difficult, and some are easy, but they always come right after autumn.<\/p>\n<p>That is never going to change.<\/p>\n<section id=\"image-carousel\" class=\"splide\" aria-label=\"Beautiful Images\"\/>\n<p>There are all kinds of winters: the \u201cwinter\u201d when you can\u2019t figure it out, the \u201cwinter\u201d when everything seems to go awry.<\/p>\n<p>There are economic winters, social winters and personal winters.<\/p>\n<p>Wintertime can bring disappointment, and disappointment is common to all of us.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27851 size-post-fullsize img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/winter-house-800x669.jpg\" alt=\"winter-house\" width=\"800\" height=\"669\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/winter-house-800x669.jpg 800w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/winter-house-600x502.jpg 600w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/winter-house-300x250.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/winter-house.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>So you must learn how to handle the winters.<\/p>\n<p>You must learn how to handle difficulty; it always comes after opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>That is never going to change.<\/p>\n<p>The big question is what to do about winters.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t get rid of January (American winter) simply by tearing it off the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>But here is what you can do: You can get stronger; you can get wiser; you can get better.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that trio of words: stronger, wiser, better.<\/p>\n<p>The winters won\u2019t change, but you can.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"before-i-understood-this-i-used-to-wish-for-summer-when-it-was-winter\">Before I understood this, I used to wish for summer when it was winter<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When things were difficult, I wished they were easy.<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t know any better.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-post-image wp-image-130306 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/property-market-risks-feature-800x450.jpg\" alt=\"Property Market Risks Feature\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/property-market-risks-feature-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/property-market-risks-feature-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Then my mentor Earl Shoaff gave me the answer from a part of his unique philosophy when he said, \u201cDon\u2019t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
