Compared to 12 months ago, listings dropped 2%.<\/li>\n<li>Nationally, <u>new listings<\/u> (Less than 30 days) fell 27.6% over January 2022, with 49,215 new properties added onto the market. New listings are down 1.8% over the year. Old listings fell 5.9% in January and were down by 52% over the<\/li>\n<li>Capital city asking house prices fell 0.7% and units fell 0.2% over the four weeks to 1 February<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Total Listings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-161104 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/total-listings-1.png\" alt=\"Total Listings\" width=\"909\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/total-listings-1.png 909w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/total-listings-1-300x106.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 909px) 100vw, 909px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Nationally, new listings (Less than 30 days) fell 27.6% over January 2022 to 49,215 properties on the market and fell 1.8% over the year. New listings fell the most in Canberra by 31.8%, followed by Melbourne by 29.3%.<\/p>\n<p>Over the year, new listings rose the most in Perth by 18.2%, followed by Darwin by 13.8%. Brisbane asking prices rose by 0.3% for houses and 0.1% for units.<\/p>\n<p>Perth asking prices fell by 0.3% for houses and 1.1% for units. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-142327 img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"Australia Property\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-1231x692.jpeg 1231w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-scaled.jpeg 2048w, https:\/\/cdn.propertyupdate.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/australia-property-1160x652.jpeg 1160w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Adelaide asking prices for houses rose by 1.1% and 1.5% for units.<\/p>\n<p>Canberra asking prices for houses fell by 0.3% and rose by 2% for units.<\/p>\n<p>Darwin asking prices for houses fell by 1.2% and 2.1% for units.
